Poem 212- Oath: Chapter 2

Poem 212- Oath: Chapter 2

Why do I chant hymns
Before your fleshy altar
As remissions for my sins
Even though I transcend your valley never to falter.

My instrument of praise
Stands in the spirit of her glory
Nodding repeatedly amidst the emotional haze
And the heart that sees knows in a hurry.

Yesterday is a memory,
But you’ll sing to my heart forever.
Our oath will sing no cacophony
For I’ve made you my sister and lover.
